9月21日は、国連が定めた「国際平和の日」＝PEACE DAY。
この日1日だけは戦争をしている国も武器を置き
平和について考えよう……そんな想いのこめられた日です。
301年の建国以来、戦争をしたことのないサンマリノ共和国。
そこで作られたワインは、平和のDNAを確かに持っています。
『PEACE DAY』には世界中の人が笑顔でワインを酌み交わせるように……
そんな想いから、SAMMARINESEでは2020年より
「一般財団法人PEACE DAY」とのコラボレーションにより
『PEACE WINE PROJECT』をスタートいたしました。
平和の祈りを込めた新作は『PEACE DNA』
2022年は、スペイン在住のアーティスト、ユーゴ・ヨシカワが、サンマリノ共和国の様々な風景を元に描いたシンボリックな作品をラベルにデザインしてくれました。平和の遺伝子の力が、“P”と“W”の頭文字に込められています。
この作品をラベルにして、『PEACE DNA』と名付けた3本のワインが出来上がりました。

Hugo Yoshikawa（吉川有悟）は、スペインはバルセロナ在住のアーティスト。
日本人の父とフランス人の母をもち、幼少期から10代の大半を、ロンドン、パリ、バンコク、ニューヨークなどで過ごしてきました。子供の頃に母親が買ってくれた冒険漫画『スピルーとファンタジオ』をきっかけに、『バンド・デシネ』と呼ばれる、フランス語圏特有の漫画の世界の高い芸術性に感銘し、10歳にして将来は絵の道に進むことを決意したそう。
ロンドン芸術大学でイラストを専攻し、卒業後、イラスト、漫画、ドローイングなどの垣根を超えた創作活動を展開。バルセロナに拠点を移して、アーティストとして独自のスタイルを築き上げ、現在は、書籍や印刷物、ハンドドローイング、アニメーションなど多岐の分野に渡って活躍中です。
今回のアルファベットアートは、サンマリノ共和国の紋章や、リベルタ広場の国会議事堂、ワイナリーや葡萄畑など、サンマリノの風景や文化、思想などが詰め込まれた、ユーゴ・ヨシカワならではの作品ですが、よ〜くみると、あれ？この看板は？
そう、サンマリノにある高見沢俊彦さんの葡萄畑『Vigna di Takamiy』の、あのエンジェルギターの看板も描かれているのです！ 高見沢さんとユーゴさん、二人のアーティストの平和への想いも詰まっている、最高のワインが出来上がりました。
また、かねてよりその売上の一部がチャリティされていた、高見沢俊彦シリーズの『白騎士』『紅騎士』の2本も、今年から正式にPEACE WINEの仲間入り。

そして今年は、新型コロナウイルスによる世界的パンデミック、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻という、けしてあってはならないことが立て続けに起きている今だからこそ、平和への想いをどこよりも強く胸に抱き、戦火に耐えながら独自のワインを作り続ける国のワインもPEACE WINEのラインナップに並べたい。
そう考え、紛争の激戦地・シリアのワイナリー、ドメーヌ・ド・バージュラスから赤白２本のワインも加わりました。

9月21日PEACE DAYには、代々木公園に行こう！
「国際平和の日 = ピースデー」当日は、代々木公園にて、様々なジャンルの起業家、アスリート、アーティストをゲストに招き、世界平和へのメッセージをお届けするイベントが開催されます。平和を考えるきっかけを作るブースや、世界各国の料理が楽しめるキッチンカーが並び、「食」や「消費」からも世界平和を目指します。また、AIやMINMIなど、ミュージシャンの枠を超えて支持されている、話題のアーティストのライブも無料で楽しめます。夜には、世界の平和へと願いを込めて、キャンドルナイトを開催。
